Mario Kart Wii Experts?

Sometimes it's the angle of your drift. You lean into a turn just right and the game will register you just tight enough to get on the track. Or you can use a mushroom to speed out if you catch it at just the right second. Other than that it's probably server lag showing them off the track when they're just really close.
