What is the best hair iron to use to staighten your hair?

I bought one at the mall a while back. Its called Her Styler (HS). Is that a good iron? If you have one what's the best iron out there? Whats the best product to use? I use Nexus. Just wondering whats the best so I don't end up damaging my hair. Thanks!!!
