We can scream, fight, and point fingers, but NO ONE is willing to try and help, huh?

This is how I see things between Christians and atheists. It sounds as if atheists feel threatened by Judeo-Christian influence making it's way into law. Likewise, it sounds as if Christians feel threatened by the law influencing where and how they can worship. So, what's the compromise? Many here are Americans, and as Americans we're supposed to be accepting of each other. I don't think this "balance" is going to hold up much longer between law and religion, so how could we amicably and effectively amend the systems to better accomodate each other and their chosen proponents?
