Has anybody done research on how high levels of radiation affect a persons thinking?

It seems to reason that those working on the radiation leaks are going through physical and psychological changes that can affect thinking skills. Perhaps this can be reason why they are not making enough progress as the situation gets worse. Kinda like the proverbial frog in hot in boiling water the frog does not know when to jump and escape the pot
