How to tell your dad to turn off the radio or TV so loud that your ears are banging when you want to study in?

Whenever i try to study quietly for my test or exam my dad turns on the radio or TV up to a volume that could be heard anywhere in the house. I tried telling him that this was important to me, but whenever i tell him about my concern he starts this huge fight. I can't go to the library , because it is faraway from my house. What should i do?
