Why did i wake up with my nose DRIPPING WITH BLOODthis morning?

Is there any particular cause for this or is it random? Some people say it happens why you pick you nose, but i didn't pick my nose! Is there something wring with me to wake up with my nose dripping with blood? Now my bed sheet is stained.
