Can I make my burnt gr grow again?

I live in Colorado Springs and bought my house about a year and a half ago. Back then, the gr was beautiful and lush, and it was like that until a few months ago. We haven't been getting enough rain and our sprinkler system broke, along with a few weeks of hot hot hot sun. The gr in our front yard is basically dead. It's brown and yellow and it crinkles when we walk on it. I'm pretty sure it's been burnt by the sun. Does anyone know if I can make it grow back into what it was before, and if yes, how?
